The palace and park complex “Vyaliki Svyatsk Valovichau” is one of the most striking historical places in Belarus. An invaluable monument of architecture and landscape art of the second half of the 18th - early 19th centuries, which is absolutely deservedly considered the pearl of architecture of the Neman side, being part of the cultural heritage of the country and the tourist brand of Grodno region.

The beginning of the construction of the palace and park complex is considered to be 1779, when, on the initiative of Grodno Marshal Jozef Volovich, the ideological inspirer of the project, the famous, talented and very popular Italian architect Giuseppe Sacco began to implement it.
It was thanks to his light hand that the palace appeared before people in all its splendor, combining the most characteristic features of three styles at once: baroque, classicism, and in the interior decoration - romanticism.
After the death of Jozef Volovich in 1779, his father’s work on the construction of the palace and park complex was continued by his son Anthony. The best people were involved in the work - famous artists Smuglevich and Mankovsky, Italian painter Tambari. A whole team of talents worked on creating this pearl so that it would become not just a weekend residence, but a real family estate, a family nest of the famous Belarusian Volovich family.

The chapel in Svyatsk is part of the palace and park ensemble dating back to the end of the XVIII century. It was erected a century later - in 1889. Lancet windows and some other architectural elements show this temple as an example of neo-Gothic architecture.
